The Southeast Partnership for Improving Research and Training in Cancer Health Disparities (SPIRIT-CHD) is a collaborative partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida and Louisiana State University health Sciences center in new Orleans, Louisiana that seeks to advance translational research on the biological mechanisms of cancer health disparities focusing on biospecimen-based research and precision medicine. We also seek to establish a joint Cancer Research Education Program (CREP) focused on biobanking and precision medicine education for minority undergraduate and medical students.
